July 1st, 2015, – Cape Town, South-Africa /Dublin, Ireland – Callpay, a leading telephony card based payments company that boast numerous innovative patent-pending PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment products, today announced that it has achieved certification with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 3.1. Callpay’s v3.1 certification was completed by Sysnet Global Solutions.
Sysnet is a market leader in Cyber Security Risk and Assurance, with the ability to provide a comprehensive range of information security consultancy and assurance services in over 40 countries.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was developed to encourage and enhance cardholder data security and facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures globally. PCI DSS provides a baseline of technical and operational requirements designed to protect cardholder data.
The most recent version of the standard, Version 3.1, was released on April 15th, 2015. Commenting on their achievement, Thomas van der Spuy, Information Security Director at Callpay said “Hours of marketing and sales effort can go into getting the customer to the point where they are ready to make a purchase or even pay an account.
The last thing you want to do is have to turn that customer away because you don’t have the ability to take secure and compliant card payments in your contact centre. Callpay is a comprehensive offering with seamless integration ensuring the latest in telephony payment technology for your contact centre.
We are now looking forward to working with merchants, payment service providers and banks to ensure contact centres can process card payments in a secure environment.”
“This is a significant achievement for Callpay” said Ashvin Dookhee PCI QSA, Information Security Consultant at Sysnet. ‘We began the company’s assessment at the start of this year and following a rigorous process we are delighted to provide the company with their PCI DSS v3.1 Certificate of Compliance.
Achieving compliance with the most recent version of the standard requires a real commitment to developing a security mind-set within an organisation and Callpay committed fully to that process.”
