Position Description

The Senior Security Consultant is responsible for the delivery of security-related professional services by Viking Cloud.  The Senior Security Consultant will focus his/her efforts on client-facing delivery of various security regulatory and best practice consulting engagements, including PCI DSS Assessments, HIPAA/HITECH Assessments, IT Risk Assessments, and others.  The Senior Security Consultant must be able to independently manage a project from initial planning and kick-off through the project’s conclusion, as well as contribute to up-front processes including sales and relationship-building.   

Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with our customers, business partners and across our internal organization to accomplish the following:

  • Deliver high-quality assessment engagements as an individual or as part of a team.

  • Maintain and enhance quality relationships with clients and prospects.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Viking Cloud service offerings including scoping process, delivery steps, deliverable format, and content, etc., to ensure quality and consistency.

  • Contribute to development of new, additional service offerings.

  • Assist Sales in qualifying leads and closing sales for service engagements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Information Security field

  • CISSP, CISM and/or CISA certification or equivalent; existing QSA designation is required

  • Strong knowledge of the PCI DSS and its application in real-world environments.

  • Extensive experience delivering PCI DSS, healthcare, financial related projects, including both delivery and project management.

  • Consulting services experience with proven skills in project management and delivery

  • Customer focused – adept at building long-term relationships with customers and partners.

  • Knowledge of information system architecture and security

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

You will have an advantage if you have…

  • Exposure to various payment technologies, including P.O.S. systems, card readers, eCommerce platforms, tokenization solutions, cardholder data storage technologies and other forms of payment card applications.

  • Knowledge of Industry Standards, e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Publications and other Industry Related Security Standards

  • Knowledge of and experience working with other common Industry regulations and frameworks, specifically HIPAA.
