We have an immediate vacancy for a full time Junior Cyber Security Vulnerability Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as a member of a team to deliver an excellent service experience for customers of the Sysnet managed security service

  • Support the Internal & external vulnerability management function for Sysnet and its external customers

  • Creating and launching authenticated and un-authenticated vulnerability scans on different platforms

  • Assisting in troubleshooting of various issues faced during vulnerability management operations

  • Escalate critical vulnerabilities for expedited patching and/or controls

  • Point of contact for teams requiring security vulnerability management input and guidance

  • Contribute to documentation needs such as processes, procedures and reports

  • Support regulatory examinations and internal audits as needed

  • Escalate critical vulnerabilities for expedited patching and/or controls

  • Provide support and other security services where required to the wider information security and testing services teams

  • Conduct failed scan analysis by reviewing executive and technical scan reports to identify vulnerabilities associated with merchant networks

  • Investigate networking vulnerabilities and educate customers on the risk associated with insecure network configuration

  • Recommend remedial solutions to ensure a secure customer payment network infrastructure

  • Confidently discuss networking terminology with IT professionals whilst also possessing the ability to demystify technical jargon for non-technical customers

  • Provide telephone support to customers of the Sysnet managed security service

  • Manage workload through assigned support tickets

Preferred Education/Experience

  • One – two years of experience in performing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing or other similar security services in an operational and/or business environment

  • Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate technical security issues to non-technical people

  • Must demonstrate excellent time management and be capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team


  • Relevant qualifications such as COMPTIA Network+, COMPTIA Security+ (mandatory)

  • At least one current and industry-recognized security certification (i.e CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, ECSA) (advantageous)


  • Good interpersonal, organizational, writing, communications and briefing skills in English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network protocols

  • Strong skills in the usage of vulnerability scanning methods and tools (Qualys, Nessus)

  • Good knowledge and understanding of various infrastructure appliances (Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System, Firewalls, Proxies, etc.)

  • Good knowledge and understanding of various operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac)

  • Experience conducting penetration testing desirable

Skills/Other Information

  • The role will be based In Poznan, Poland

  • Candidates must be able to travel world wide if required

  • Due to the nature of this role working hours will be shift based
